Once you have made a registration our bookings team will be in touch within 48 hours. You will be emailed a confirmation and if there is a cost attached to your chosen event, you’ll be sent a pay now button, enabling you to make payment securely online. Should you require an alternative method of payment, including an invoice, you can respond to the confirmation to let us know.

We will email you again in the run up to the event to ask if you have any specific dietary requirements. You will receive a final email one week prior to the event with the final agenda and any applicable travel information. If you need anything from us in the meantime, please do call us on 01732 897788 or email bookings@sbk-healthcare.co.uk.

On the day, SBK Healthcare staff will be on hand to welcome you at the venue, provide you with course material and your badge, which will state your name, organisation and job title as provided when you registered. You’ll then be shown to the conference room. Refreshments and lunch will be provided during registration and the break times. If you need anything during the conference, please seek out a member of the team.

All of our online courses and webinars take place on Zoom, as it has the functionality, we need to be able to facilitate our events. If your trust blocks Zoom, you can request your IT department to unblock it temporarily or ask for an alternative device.

Practice sessions are available, please reach out to us by emailing bookings@sbk-healthcare.co.uk before your chosen event takes place to let us know if you require one. These are an excellent way to ensure your technology is working properly on Zoom before the event takes place. A representative from SBK Healthcare will agree a time with you and send you a practice link. The practice session will give you some support and enable you to test your internet connection, microphone and camera. We strongly recommend joining a practice session using the same device and from the same location as on the day itself.

I have booked my place at an online forum, how does it work? SBK Healthcare will correspond with you using the email address you provided at the time of booking to confirm your place and send you our terms and conditions. Within one week of the online conference taking place, you will be sent final details of the course including a full agenda, programme timings and your Zoom joining instructions. This email will include a joining link that can be used to access the conference.

If you have not received your joining email two days before your event, do check your junk folder then contact SBK Healthcare on 01732 897788.

On the day, when you join the conference, you will initially enter a waiting room, this is completely normal. You will then be admitted to the main conference room to be registered. Your microphone and video will be switched off when you arrive and you will be asked to switch them on by a member of SBK Healthcare staff (if there is a red line through your mute and start video buttons, this means that they are switched off.)

Please note that we will be registering attendees in small groups so there may be a short wait.

When will webinars be available on demand? Webinars are normally made available to watch on demand, around one week after they have taken place, to allow us time to edit and upload the video. If you are unable to attend a webinar live but would like to watch the recorded version, we do recommend you register your details, as you will be sent a link when the recorded version becomes available.

Once I have attended my event, when will my CPD certificate be sent to me? CPD certificates will be emailed to attendees within a week of the event taking place. This will be a self-certified certificate which will act as a record of the CPD hours you have achieved. Please complete with your name and organisation. We will also keep a record of your attendance for CPD purposes.

I have registered for a free event but it says there is a charge of £100 if I fail to attend, how does that work? It is a privilege for us to be able to offer some events to attendees at no cost. With free events however, we find that some people will register but fail to turn up. This is something we actively discourage, as there are limited places and other people will have been turned away. In the long term it will mean we are simply unable to offer any educational forums for free.

Once registered, you can cancel your place by informing us in writing to bookings@sbk-healthcare.co.uk. The amount of notice required will be dependent on the event itself, so do check the terms and conditions related to your specific event. Failure to turn up without prior written warning will result in you requiring to pay £100 charge and you not being able to register for future Diabetes National Networking Forums, Talking Therapy National Networking Forums and SBK Healthcare events.
